Good News/Bad News

We were close! We were so close to being on schedule for fulfilling the Impure Blood, Deluxe Edition, Volume 1 Kickstarter.

But I should have known that with everything that's been happening, both here and around the world, that having the books in my hands before the end of June was too much to ask for.

I received this update itinerary from the printer last week.

6/24- Arrival at Long Beach Port
6/26- Transfer to customs warehouse
6/29- Customs release
7/7- Residential Delivery

So it's not so bad. Only two weeks later than anticipated. And that's still plenty of time to get them all shipped out to backers by the end of July. So we're not so much behind schedule as not as early as I would have liked.

BUT...!

In other news: The last couple weeks I've been live-streaming on my Nathan Lueth Illustration Facebook Page while I work on commissions. It's been a lot of fun, and I've really enjoyed chatting with people and answering questions while I draw. Here's some of the stuff I've done the last couple weeks:

Greetings beautiful backers!

Great news! The PDFs of Impure Blood, Deluxe Edition, Volume 1 were all sent out today! If you backed at any tier above $10, you should have it in your inbox! If you're not seeing it, be sure to check your spam box as well. They're coming via BackerKit, so the address you want to be looking out for is noreply@backerkit

And while we're at it, there's one more item of business that I admittedly should have taken care of earlier.

Please take a moment to find your name here on the backer page, make sure I spelled it properly, and that it's the way you want it to appear. I tried to be mindful of spelling when I was moving them all over, but accidents happen. It's not too late to do a page replacement on the hardcopy, so get that to me quick as you can so I can get it updated in time to print.

In other news, I'm sure you're probably looking for more cool stuff to read right now. Might I recommend Starlite, helmed by the very cool Travis Webb.

What happens to child superheroes after they're all grown up? Do they end up like countless Hollywood child stars: a heroic past haunting their present, forgotten by the pop-culture zeitgeist only to be recalled in nostalgic listicles on YouTube?

If you ever wondered what happened to Zan and Jayna after they grew up, then you should absolutely CLICK HERE to check out STARLITE!

Hey beautiful backers!

Wanted to check in and give you a progress report! Because we want to make sure that the PDF matches the book as perfectly as possible, we're waiting on a few last details from the printer before we start passing out the PDFs of Impure Blood, Deluxe Edition, Volume 1. Pretty sure I can promise that will happen by the end of this week, though!

In other news, my friends over at Inverse Press are in the last week of their own Kickstarter campaign. And I have to say, it looks pretty awesome!

Last Ride of the 4 Horsemen: The Steampunk Apocalypse is an 80-page steampunk tale of the end times in the last little town in the world, deconstructed one monstrous Horseman at a time. Inverse Press has quite a few good horror titles, and I don't see many horror takes on steampunk, so this is definitely worth your time.
