Good news, everyone!
Impure Blood, Volume 1 is off to the printer for review, and BackerKit surveys are on the final count down to being locked. If you haven't filled out your BackerKit survey yet, this is probably your last chance!
But now it's time for the fun stuff! DIGITAL REWARDS! They're going out! Like, right now!!
For the rewards that everyone gets like the Desktop/Phone backgrounds and the milestone reward comics, I'm sending out a backer exclusive update, so be on the lookout for those. The Impure Blood PDF books will be coming via BackerKit, just as soon as everything is locked up and ready to go!
I'm so excited about this! Running a successful Kickstarter campaign is great, but dishing out the rewards is definitely the most fun! I feel like Oprah.

Hey Beautiful Backers!
Thanks to everyone who has already completed their Backerkit Survey! I'll be notifying the lucky drawing winner tomorrow! There's still 39 people I haven't heard from though, so if that's you then get on it! You have until midnight on Tuesday before the surveys are locked in! I'm looking to place the order with the printer by the end of the week so don't delay!
I mean... it's not like you can go outside right now or anything...
Be good and be healthy! Next week, it's time to start dishing out some of those sweet digital rewards!

Alright my Beautiful Backers!
Backerkit surveys are out and should be in your inboxes! The sooner they get in, the sooner I can order books, the sooner you can get books! Shouldn't take more than 5 minutes!
And, I mean, it's not like anyone can go outside right now, sooooo....
I am gonna sweeten the pot, though. Everyone who get's their surveys completed by Midnight next Sunday (the 29th), will be entered into a drawing for a free bonus prize. What's the prize? It's a surprise!
It's the sequel to the 2018 comic anthology of short stories, inspired by the Cthulhu Mythos, and featuring some of the finest talent in comics (and also me). Erik Lervold and Fionnula Willman (who did the guest artist prints from the Impure Blood, Volume 1 campaign) both have stories in there, not to mention stuff from A-list guys who have worked for Marvel, DC, and more! PLUS it's all ages friendly. My 5-year-old daughter loves looking at the first one, and I can't wait to give her the sequel!
In the meantime, I hope you're staying healthy and keeping entertained. It looks like it's gonna be a great year to stay in and read!

I completed the BackerKit surveys and submitted them for review this week, however they're recommending that I wait two weeks after the end of the campaign for the funds to clear before sending out the surveys. As I typically try to heed the advice of people who know more than me, I'm going to do just that. As you can imagine, with conventions around the country being cancelled or postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there's a lot of wringing of hands and gnashing of teeth amongst the creator community. A lot of us depend on con sales to sustain and promote our business. While it won't totally make up for the lost sales, a lot of folks are going online for virtual cons. One such is WannaCon, hosted by Russell Nohelty.
24 awesome creators bringing their best. AND with no sore feet or Con Crud (or worse)! Check it out. It's a guaranteed good time!

Greetings my Beautiful Backers!
I've had a day or two to rest, I played with my daughters, and my batteries are recharged. I want to once again show may gratitude towards everyone who supported this project in anyway. Together you have helped me accomplish something that I never thought possible.
Now the real work begins: FULFILLMENT!
Because we funded by quite bit extra, I want to do something for you that's a bit extra. Because we were constrained by the proportions of onscreen vs print at the time, and also because when we started out I was a baby comic artist/letterer, I've been a bit dissatisfied with how the early pages look in print. Later in the series, we switch to a better type face and to a full-bleed format but, because of life and the pressure of a weekly deadline, I've never had the time or funds to go back and redo things so that the book would be consistent with Volumes 2-4.

Will this delay delivery any? It shouldn't.
Kickstarter typically takes about 2 weeks to process and deliver funds, so I will be working in the interim to re-letter and reformat those early pages. My goal is complete digital fulfillment and have the order placed with the printer by the end of March. Here is my anticipated timeline:
Backer Surveys out by Friday (and the sooner you can get those back to me, the sooner I can get you your rewards!)
Digital Rewards Delivered and Order placed with printer by April 1st
And then we wait.... (Not really. I'll be taking care of commissions and ordering up the mini-prints and stuff)
All the mini-print only tier rewards sent out by the end of May.
Books should arrive in July. Then it's time for a Packing Party!! (ooo... a PIZZA Packing Party...)
Aiming for complete fulfillment by the end of August.
And don't you worry, I'll be keeping you up to date on my progress along the way. You can expect to hear from me every step of the way.
